Banjo Kazooie Inspired ‘A Hat In Time’ Will Launch This Year

Step aside Yooka Laylee

A Hat In Time was quite hyped up back when it launched on Kickstarter, raising around $300K at the time. It’s a platformer that was inspired by Banjo Kazooie and even had figureheads from Rare on the team, such as composer Grant Kirkhope. It’s a Banjo inspired project that was announced years before Yooka Laylee, for many it was the inject of life that everyone was looking for at the time.

But news has been quiet on the project for quite some time. Not silent, as they remained consistent with their backers and posted updates on their social media from time to time. But many assumed A Hat In Time had fallen into development hell and would never see the light of day. But the faithful supporters can rest easy as the game will launch at long last, coming to consoles and PC this year!

You can check out the trailer for the game below.

The full adventure will contain five large, open regions with a couple more areas to be added as DLC. The game will also contain two-player co-op, both locally and online.

A Hat In Time will feature five open regions that can be explored in single player or two player co-op. Either in couch co-op or online co-op. A lot of people have been waiting for this game, and while the jury is out on it for now. It’s nice to see it actually happening.
