Banjo-Kazooie Sequel in Development for N64

Spiritual successor Yooka-Laylee may have raised over £1.5m over at Kickstarter, but retro gaming fans looking for a sequel to N64 platformers Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie have something else to look forward to; developer Michael Koczwara has been showing off Banjo-Kazooie Returns, an unofficial N64 game made with Banjo’s Backpack, a Banjo-Kazooie mod tool.

As RetroCollect point out, the game may well prove playable on an actual N64 thanks to the likes of the Everdrive. Koczwara has set no release date for the project, but has promised further reveals in July – in the meantime, here are some screenshots:
