Graphic designer and nostalgia fan Sam Dyer wanted an opportunity to combine his passions for visual art and retro gaming. The result is a Commodore 64: A Visual Compendium – a high-end, coffee table book which aims to celebrate the visual side of the popular home computer. Each spread will feature Commodore gaming imagery and a few words; either game facts, a mini review or even a quote from one of the developers.
However, in order for Commodore 64: A Visual Compendium to make it into print, Sam needs to cover the £20k costs of producing the book with a Kickstarter campaign. At the time of writing, Sam has already achieved over 50% of his target in just over 48 hours but there is still plenty of time to back the project and put in your order for this high-end book from a lifelong C64 fan.
The final book will be 200 pages and printed lithographically to the highest possible print standards. Design of the books will be finished in August and will be printed and ready to be posted in September 2014.
