Frank Cifaldi, head of restoration at developer Digital Eclipse, former games journalist may have just taken possession a piece of video gaming history. Cifaldi recently purchased four circuit boards for the Famicom -The Japanese version of the NES. He currently isn’t able to confirm if the physical portions of his purchase are authentic, however according to him, the code on the circuit board are beyond a hadow of a doubt. The most interesting part is that the code could just be the first lines of code that junior programmer Satoru Iwata ever made, Iwata being the man who would go on to become the head honcho of Nintendo.
