The Tekken series is one of the few fighters out there that seems to still keep the same essence it’s had since it was first released. The likes of Street Fighter V putting new coats of paint and feeling different each time, from walk speeds, lack of zoning options, and other subtle touches that make it stand out from previous entries in the series. But Tekken? Tekken still feels like the same Tekken it always has been.
Not to say that Tekken hasn’t made any strides forward of course. Some new characters and fancy new visuals keep it fresh but also the game also holds the essence of ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.‘ The latest trailer for new entry in the series, Tekken 7 showcases some old faces and new ones returning to the stage to take place in its latest battle royale. It’s really nice to see as well. From seeing classic fighters like Law to the hype beast that is Devil Jin himself. It brings that feel of Arcade/PS1 goodness back with a fresh coat of paint.
But don’t take our word for it! Check out the latest trailer down below to size up the latest roster the Tekken series has to offer.
