Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have today announced that Pac-Man 256, the endless runner game which was previously released onto mobile devices last year, will be making its way to the PS4, XB1 and PC later this year; as developer 3 Sprockets game director Seon Rozenblum, explains:
“We have really enjoyed working with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and Hipster Whale on PAC-MAN 256 for mobile, and having the opportunity to ship it on the latest generation of consoles and PC is the icing on the cake for us! We can’t wait to see how much fun players have with it”
Just like it’s mobile counterpart players will be tasked with navigating Pac-Man away from the impeding Level 256 glitch while collecting pellets and defeating ghosts; however unlike the mobile counterpart this console and PC release will feature 4-player co-op multiplayer which will see up to 4-players working together to beat the game and achieve the highest score.
That’s not the only difference either; as the game will also come with 10 unlockable themes that change the appearence of the games level design as well as social sharing options which made the original mobile version popular.
Pac-Man 256 is currently scheduled to be released on the 21st June 2016 as a digital download for the PS4, XB1 and PC.
