So that release INSANE! Who could believe what they showed off?! Nintendo seems to be dropping a great deal of their core principles that they seemed to be ironclad on never dropping, but with the launch of things like Pokemon Go or the Mario Runner announced. It’s clear Nintendo is willing to capitalize and continue with changing the market and the way games are played. This time around, they have released a video for the new… Nintendo Switch! As Nintendo puts it, the Nintendo switch is…

“Introducing Nintendo Switch! In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles.”

The Nintendo Switch looks to be a 2 in one style of console, one part main console, and another handheld. The video displays it both console mode, and portable mode. In which you seem to be able to do a multitude of various things! Multiplayer with friends on the portable, or even just console based Multiplayer as you’d expect. One interesting factor is that it looks to have offline capabilites, as a man is seening booting up a game on a plane. Anyone who has travled knows just how tricky that can be to do!

The leaks seem to be spot on to be fair – You can use mini controllers from the side of the tablet, and play the games at home or on the go. (They even have a cartridge form! Carts are back!) Back in your crib, the Switch will rest on the ‘Nintendo Switch Dock’ which connects to your TV. From there, take it portable and use it however you want. A Nintendo Switch pro Controller has even been confirmed for release!

Interesting note is that Nintendo are not messing around when it comes to Graphics this time around. Often the butt of a joke when it comes to specs, this time around Nintendo have gotten serious! The Switch is going to be powered by NVIDIA! Using a custom interface made by NVIDA themselves, Nintendo is rolling out the red carpet for the console. Read about NVIDIA’s involvement here!

All in all, the Nintendo Switch seems to follow the core principle of the modern age. Slim and portablity. Connectivity. All sorts of things are on display. However it’s so… anti Nintendo, that it’s quite exciting! The Nintendo Switch looks fun and we cannot wait to see what developers do with this device and how much Nintendo support it!

Speaking of Developers… Nintendo have confirmed a few well know studios that have signed on board to make games for the Switch, a great deal are nothing to laugh at either!
