There Is A Cheat Code In The Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 That Unlocks Everything

Blue Bomber Classic Feeling

The Mega Man series is notoriously tough. We’ve all been there before. “I’ve played plenty of platformers in my time, this will be nothing” and then you end up tackling some of the hardest platforming levels in Retro Gaming. Seriously, Dark Souls can sit down while classic Megaman takes the throne proper.

Capcom seems to understand the frustration some of might just have with the series. Some people are only grabbing the new Mega Man Legacy Collection for the ability to play Mega Man 9 and 10 from the get go. For those unaware, Megaman 9 and 10 were new games in the 8-bit Megaman series made for the modern age and were met with some serious love from the hardcore Mega Man fan base for just how faithful the games were to their past entries, much like the upcoming Sonic Mania.

So with that understanding in mind, Capcom has revealed there is a neat little cheat code in the game that’ll allow you unlock all of the content they packed in those games from the get go without completing them again. As some people have played them once, but might just want to enjoy the games again but with the DLC they didn’t get at the time of release.

Here’s the cheat code:

Up, down, left, right, left, right, down, up, up, down.

Put in that code and you unlock all the extra stages and playable characters originally released as DLC for Mega Man 9 and 10 unless you have a Nintendo Switch. Yes, for some reason this code does not work with the Switch version. A bit strange, and so far Capcom has not offered an explanation for this.
